Over the course of the past year, God has shared a vision with Ruede & Deborah for a new church in Lubbock. While there are some very good churches in our community, Ruede & Deboarh believe that God has called them to establish a church with a clear vision to address some specific needs in the Lubbock region.
Pastor Ruede Rule comes to Lubbock from the staff of Trinity Fellowship Church in Amarillo. There, he served as Associate Pastor of Counseling. Ruede has extensive experience in counseling ministries and equipping classes. At Trinity Fellowship Church, he also served as Zone Pastor of District II LIFE Ministries and in men's ministry.
Ruede was born and raised in Friona, Texas, where he attended The Union Congregational Church and graduated from Friona High School. Following high school, Ruede served in the United States Navy Submarine Service. After fulfilling his military commitment, he attended Texas Tech University School of Business and earned a BBA.
In 1988, Ruede began attending Trinity Fellowship Church. He accepted Christ in August of that year and was water baptized two months later. In 1990, Ruede and his wife, Deborah, attended Pastor Jimmy Evans' Marriage on the Rock seminar and began working in marriage ministry shortly thereafter.
In 1994, Ruede, Deborah, and family moved to Lubbock. He and Debbie began a marriage ministry based on the Marriage on the Rock Seminar. They served in that ministry for four-and-a-half years before hearing God call them to begin a new work. They founded Cleave Ministries, based on Genesis 2:24, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: And they shall be one flesh." (KJV). Ruede & Deboarh share a vision of planting a continuing marriage ministry in churches around the world.
Ruede & Deborah have a burning desire to stop the destruction of divorce and to claim the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. Ruede believes that there is at least one couple in every church who has a desire to serve God through marriage ministry.
Ruede and Deborah have taught the Marriage on the Rock Workshop in Amarillo & Lubbock. In addition, Ruede & Debbie have developed & taught a “Newly Married” class curriculum. They have three children, Ashley - 15, Zachary - 11, and Gabrielle Niccoll - 4.
